Tower Work Tower climbing & rescue techniques are based on steel climbing, fall protection and to some extent rope access methods. Tower workers may be either partially or fully suspended in their harnesses (depending on the mode of work) & are required to access both the interior and exterior of large steel structures. Free standing towers, guyed masts and monopoles are the province of the tower worker. Three dimensional steel and lots of exposure make for an exhilarating work environment. Antenna installations, cabling jobs or general service inspections are routine tasks for the tower operator, often a long way from the ground. |  |
