Description
The Appalachian Hitching Post (AHP) is a vehicle-mounted anchoring solution designed to secure a leg section of the Vortex system. When installed in accordance with the rigging methods specified in the Vortex user manual, it can be used with all approved Vortex configurations.
When paired with the optional 90° Hitch Adapter, the AHP allows the Vortex to be positioned perpendicular to an edge, expanding placement options when working from a vehicle. Both the AHP and the 90° Hitch Adapter are engineered for use with standard 2" (50mm) receiver hitches.
Rated to 36 kN, the AHP is suitable for anchoring the Vortex using a conventional two-rope setup, and can also serve as an auxiliary anchor point for re-directs or primary attachments.
The AHP is supplied with a push pin for connecting the Vortex leg and a 5/8" hitch receiver pin. The 90° Hitch Adapter includes its own push pin for attachment to the AHP.
